Affiliate Disclosure

Plain English about how this site earns, what it costs you, and the rules we hold ourselves to. No surprises.

At a glance: Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them, Prime Life Labs may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.

As an Amazon Associate, Prime Life Labs earns from qualifying purchases.

1. What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link contains a tracking tag that tells the retailer "this sale came from Prime Life Labs." If you then buy something, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. That's it. It does not change the product, the price you pay, or the service you receive.

2. Our relationship with Amazon

Prime Life Labs is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk.

When you see a link to a product on Amazon.co.uk — for example in our Gear recommendations or in some articles — it is an Amazon affiliate link carrying our tracking ID. Amazon pays us a commission on qualifying purchases (some product categories and some actions are excluded under Amazon's rules).

This relationship is disclosed on every page that contains such links, in line with Amazon's Operating Agreement and UK law.

3. Other affiliate programmes

From time to time we may also use other UK-based affiliate or referral programmes for equipment, books or accessories we genuinely recommend and do not sell ourselves. The same rules apply to all of them: clear disclosure, no extra cost to you, and honest recommendation only.

We do not use affiliate links for our own supplements. Those are sold directly through our own store and linked as our own products, not as affiliate referrals.

4. What it costs you

Nothing. The commission we may receive is paid by the retailer out of its own margin. The price you see on Amazon (or any retailer) is the same whether you use our link or navigate there directly. Using our link never increases your price.

5. How we choose what to recommend

Every affiliated product in our Gear page and registry was chosen for a specific function that helps a 50+ body train, recover or track progress. We recommend items we would honestly suggest to a friend. We do not let commission rates decide what we list, and we will tell you plainly when something is optional rather than essential.

Where we have not personally used an item, we say so. We do not invent experience to sell a product.

6. What we will never affiliate

  • Prescription medications or anything requiring a prescription.
  • Peptides or other MHRA-regulated compounds.
  • Any product we would need to make a medical, treatment, prevention or cure claim to sell.
  • Our own supplements — those are ours, sold directly, and linked as our own.
  • Anything we cannot honestly recommend.

7. Not medical advice

Prime Life Labs provides general health, fitness and nutrition information for adults over 50. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. A device we link to — such as a blood-pressure monitor or fitness tracker — is a measurement tool, not a diagnostic one. Any reading that worries you, and any health decision, should be discussed with your GP or another qualified clinician. Nothing on this site should be used to replace professional medical care.

8. Your data and the GDPR

Clicking an affiliate link takes you to a third-party retailer (such as Amazon). Once you leave primelifelabs.co.uk, that retailer's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply — we encourage you to read them. We do not receive your payment or personal details from those retailers beyond the aggregated, anonymised commission reporting they provide us.

We process any data we do hold (such as email sign-ups) under the UK GDPR. Our full policy is in the Privacy Policy. You can request access to or deletion of your data at any time.

9. Questions

If anything about our affiliate relationships is unclear, contact us via the details on our Contact page and we'll answer plainly.
